Ch. 22 | Running Your Business Off Of 1 Page

Welcome to CFF-U Business Series!

Welcome back. We’re getting close to the end of the structured tactical system in CFF university and on how you as a client can build an incredible business. And one concept that becomes super important is how do I run this whole thing? How do I keep all of the stuff that I’ve learned in focus every day? And one of the concepts we teach at burn, the ships is called the O P a C P the one page attack and conquer plan. This is what it looks like.

O.P.A.C.P

Your one page attacking conquer plan is literally the working document every day in your business. It’s shared with everyone everyone’s aware of it. And you, when you start to get shiny ball moments and we start to focus on stuff that we probably shouldn’t be focusing on and stuff that’s not compressing time and moving the needle and rigorous and all that sort of stuff, it brings us back to center. So in this chapter, we’re going to talk about what an OPACP looks like, what your one page attack in conquer plan looks like.

What To Have In Your O.P.A.C.P

So, it covers so much of what we’ve talked about in CFF university, but if you start to understand what the OPACP has in it, it will be enough for you to stay focused. So let’s go through it. Upper left-hand corner of the OPA CP. You have your, your who, your what and your why, right? Who you are, what you do, why the customer needs to do better, re needs to do business with you. And it’s your market leader, positioning. It’s your, your clarity statement. It’s your ideal customer. It’s your, um, we are the best flatbed transportation company in the Southeast for customers that that manufacturer steel pipe for the oil industry. That’s the clarity that we’re talking about.

It keeps your team from going after all kinds of business, that doesn’t fit your ideal customer box. The lower left hand corner is your value system that you’ve taken the time to build four core values structured, meaningful, hired, fired, managed against created by you as the owner on what you want your business to look like, or maybe created by you and your management team. And it lives in the business. So when you’re not sure, how am I going to handle this situation with my employee? You just go back to the OPA CP review your core value section, and then find a reason to celebrate, or perhaps even find a reason to have a negative conversation, because there was a violation of the core values over on the right hand side, have our goals and our actions over a specific period of time. Exactly what are we going to achieve and who is responsible for it?

Day-To-DAY Projects

Those goals, those key performance indicators, those KPIs are written down at the start of every quarter. And as they are completed, you go back and you refill with a new goal. That’s how we compress time without KPIs. Our teams don’t really know what they’re doing. And so one day just turns into another day in a project, takes on a lot of time. And, um, we’re not moving the ball down the field, but when it’s on our OPACP and it’s in front of us every single day, these are the five things that we have to accomplish this week. Today, this, this month, this quarter, this year, everybody gets into alignment. And in your 9 1, 1 meeting, everyone’s looking at your OPACP and we’re reviewing who we are, what we do, what benefit does the customer have? What proof do we have? So the marketplace that we do, what we say we’re going to do.

Evaluating Your KPI’s For Your O.P.A.C.P

What’s the value system and what are we working on today or this week, or this month? And how did we do yesterday in the pursuit of achieving these goals, the one page attack and conquer plan, take this document. We’re giving it to you. You can, um, screenshot this OPA CP this blank, OPA CP, and start to fill it in yourself. And then remember on the right-hand side, when you achieve the goal, you just backfill and put a new goal. And it doesn’t just, if you achieve all five goals for the quarter in the first week of the quarter, that doesn’t mean you take the other 11 weeks off. You put more goals on there and you achieve more. And we compress time.

That’s the concept of the OPACP or one page attacking conquer plan. It’s how you run your business regardless of size. Everybody gets into alignment every day in the 911 meeting.
